Emily Boswell, founder of Wild Flower Garden Design, grew up in the New Forest, Hampshire, where her lifelong passion for the natural world first took root. After completing a degree in Media and Animation, she spent three years travelling through the Australian outback, spending time in the Kimberleys - an experience that continues to inspire and shape her design approach today.
On returning to the UK, Emily started working in gardens and went on to formalise her skills at the renowned KLC School of Design at Hampton Court. She then trained at the arboretum at Kew Gardens and went on to work at the iconic Petersham Nurseries, broadening her skills into floristry.
Her career highlights include contributing to several award-winning show gardens at prestigious events such as the Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows:
Planting Consultant, African Vision: Malawi Garden, Hampton Court Flower Show 2015
Kiss The Sky Garden, Hampton Court Flower Show 2012
Furzey Garden, Chelsea Flower Show 2012
Juggling the Balance, Malvern Show 2010
In 2012, Emily was also selected by Friends of the Earth to design and plant a pop-up garden on London’s Southbank for their Save the Bees Campaign, bringing ecological awareness to a wide audience through creative garden design.
Today, Emily brings together her artistic background, international influences, and deep horticultural knowledge to create thoughtful, resilient, and beautiful gardens that celebrate biodiversity and connect people with nature.
