Planet House, Mill Hill, London, Modern-Build Minimalist Garden

Set within three acres of sloping woodland, this extraordinary property began life as a Cold War bunker, with much of its structure hidden underground. To reflect its unusual setting, the design features a minimalist planting scheme that enhances the building’s otherworldly presence.

The flat, exposed area was suited to Mediterranean-style dry planting, combining arid prairie species for texture and resilience. In contrast, the sloping woodland provided the perfect backdrop for a selection of unusual feature trees. A 170-square-metre green roof was planted with sedum, while a moss garden at the rear of the property creates a natural transition through the woodland and down to the grassy banks of the driveway.

Montague Road, Richmond, Suburban Garden

Oxford Gardens, Ladbroke Grove, Formal Town Garden

The client requested an undulating planting scheme, framed with box hedging to complement her new home.
